Just call me JessNess the Frog Hunter
Once again my adventures with woodland creatures continues.........
Is summer frog season? If not then Moses has placed a plague on my apartment
Anyways I came home late from a review for one of my finals. As soon as I walk in the door I see this...
hello
A frog on this beam that I have running across my ceiling. Great not this again. Remember my last ecounter with a frog?. I went and grabbed my glass mug a.k.a the frog trapper and went to rescue the little thing.
Help me!!!
so little
Right after I took this picture the little critter jumped out of the mug, bounced off my arm and onto my wall
Of course I screamed like a little girl when it touched me
I captured the frog AGAIN and went outside to release it. As I came back into my apartment I saw something move out of the corner of my eye....guess what it was
ANOTHER FROG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alright something has to be up for all these frogs to be getting right??? As I went to release this second frog I figured it out. Its frog season and the little buggers are hanging out on my doorstep since its off the ground. How did I figure this out you ask? As I opened my door slowly to go outside I saw a little frog head pop in. I used my shoe to shoo it back out ![]()
Think my frog adventures ended there for the night? NO!!
I later found TWO MORE frogs in my apartment that I had to catch and release at the same time
So now I have to get into the habit of checking my doorstep before I get in and out of my apartment until summer ends

Post a CommentOMG that's crazy! I have to say that I would prefer frogs to the prehistoric cockroaches we've got going on in the dirty south.
they are called palmetto bugs
Ditto, jen. I'd take a frog over a cockroach any day. So would the dogs, they'd have a field day chasing them around.
The little frogs are violent jumpers
wow the blue and silver one is really pretty. i like frogs. not in my house, but i like them. maybe if you had a water area nearby they would go there rather than inside??? even a bowl of it.
Blech! Lucky for me California cockroaches don't fly. And we don't have frogs at the beach.
Sticky I live like a quarter of a mile from the beach
but Im also in the mountains.....Central
Cali coastal areas are weird. Im way to use to SoCal beaches where everything is covered with buildings
girlie pure crazzay ness! lol you should save them an send them to mikey i dont htink hes ever seen a real frog
haha
awwwww I would love to send them to Mikey but they probably wont make the journey
Then he will be
scarred for life and that would not be nice
Alas they would not make it and Mike would scream as he does everytime he sees a bug a lizard or anything remotely dirty haha
Aw, I think they're cute! Give me frogs over bugs or rodents any day!
CRAZY! I could not deal with all that. No siree.
I can see how frogs would complicate the situation since you don't want to squash or hurt them, though.
We have tree frogs all over the damn place!! But I'll take them over palmetto bugs any day!! Love bugs are really
too.
Hmmmmmmmmmm, here in the plains I don't have any of this frog or flying cockroach nonsense...just mosquitoes....effing mosquitos!!!
:vomit:
I would pass out. I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE frogs (lizards, gekkos, snakes, rodents, fish) with every fiber of my being.
You're a much braver girl than I am, catching them and releasing them. We've had frogs and gekkos and lizards in my parents' house before. I learned by watching my mom to find an encyclopedia and drop it smack on top of them from a very high altitude to remedy the situation!
eek!! but then you have squished froggy to deal with!!
atox- we have some funny azz bumper stickers that have a pic of a ginormous mosquito w/ "South Carolina State Bird" written underneath!!
Hahaha sasha, they should be the state bird for KS as well
I swear, the things are relentless!! I
guess we also have a ton of locusts (sp? who's that?) and june bugs too.
My bff and I used to dig up toads at the creek that ran through my hometown, we lost one in my bff's house once...her mom was soooooooo happy with us
I'm with Jen give me a frog over a giant prehistoric flying roach any day. I really hate those things!
We've thrown away several encyclopedias.
